FAVORITE SENSEI:
Sensei Roy Kawaji. When I first started judo as a freshman at Pearl City High
School in 2005 he taught me life lessons that transcended beyond the sport. His
greatest teaching was what it truly meant to be grateful and to appreciate
everything I have in my life.

FAVORITE QUOTE:
“Be more concerned with your character than with your reputation. Your
character is what you really are while your reputation is merely what others think
you are.” – John Wooden

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO ACCOMPLISH AT HAWAII KAIKAKU JUDO CLUB?
I want Hawaii Kaikaku Judo Club to be the favorite place of the younger children.
I want them to feel that it’s the place where they have the most fun and where
they can learn valuable life lessons to become a better person. For the
intermediate members and above, I want to keep the aspect of having fun while
training hard and for them to be able to take Hawaii Judo beyond our state.
